It's been a long time since we've had this kind of snow, so I ventured out:

 

At first is was pretty and enjoyable, but then I got tired and went back home.

Happy Snow Day

This morning I laid in bed as long as I could this morning. Alas, like all mornings it is my duty to let the dogs out. I love the puppies, I love the snow, but let me ease into it next time.

Eddie opening his Christmas presents

Yesterday Ashley and I had our Christmas. Because of the yearly Christmas family tours and holiday madness to visit with everyone we wanted our time at home to not be rushed, so last night was it. Here Eddie's opening his new Petsmart loofa dog toy.

Henley Brothers' A Christmas Carol

I just reposted the famous Henley Brothers' A Christmas Carol in higher quality. About three years ago my brother and I finally completed our version of A Christmas Carol. We started it when I was about 12 and just never finished it, but continuity be damned, we finished it, and it's glorious.

Proving Santa to Kids

Remember back when you were little and all it took was a few cookie crumbs to convince you that Santa came to your house? It was no problem to believe a giant fat magical man entered your house each year to deliver gifts which were conveniently wrapped in your parents wrapping paper. 

Today's kids have grown wise and now need Norad and Google Earth to defend the claim.

First Snow of 2009

When I awoke this morning to find snow coming down I decided to make a quick video, here it is:

My Honda had the shakes

A few weeks ago, my car got the shakes. I am immediately reminded of  all of the regularly scheduled tune-ups that I have been too lazy/cheap to take care of. Honda always sends me those friendly reminders in the mail with the coupons attached to them.

I file them away, fully intending on acting upon them, but then never did. In my mind to get the shakes fixed along with all those missed tune-ups I'm going have to pay at least $10,000, probably $20,000. 

Finally I took the car in to the dealer, with the full understanding that it was going to cost me at least $20,000 probably more like $50,000. The next day, I walked out with my car and a bill of $893.47. It was practically free.
